We all love money and spend money on a daily basis. Paper currency is widely exchanged for goods and services in different places. We spend money paying transport fares, buying goods in the market and collect as balances etc. Money travels far and wide moving from different hands to different handlers from meat sellers to beggars to drug dealers etc. A little research i did made me discover that business people especially market women like to keep money in different parts of their body like their breasts and even private parts(#SafeKeeping) Hmmm!!! Paper money provides a large surface area as a breeding ground for pathogens. Paper money can pose a public health risk when associated with the simultaneous handling of food. If you ever notice, some food vendors pick food items with their hands to sell to customers and at the same time use the same hand to collect money and give out balance. Tell me how the money wont get contaminated. Random research on money collected from hospitals shows they are highly contaminated with Staphylococcus aureus, Salmonella species. These are highly pathogenic organsims that can cause harm.My candid advice A) Avoid putting money in your mouth.(#You dont know who handled it last or where it is coming from). B) Try wet your hand with water instead of using saliva in process you can transfer germs from money to the mouth. C) Always wash the hand after handling of money D) People should be oriented on how to treat money well(#Avoid Keeping Money In Different Parts Of The Body).
