IT HAS TO STOP
Its so so alarming, irritating and disgusting on how so many things are going wrong in the country. Yes, personally i find it annoying that a normal human being wakes up in the morning and all he/she thinks of is evil to kill, steal , destroy lives of young people. I personally have been to the North. From what i know, seen and heard of, the North is very peaceful not until the dreaded killings and bombing has turned the north to a war zone. Then it was the South South but now its the North East. I strongly condemn the killings which happened at the Nyanya Motor Park on the 15th of April. Its absurd these are innocent lives ,breadwinners of families wasted in their prime. These has to stop. We all must help the Government to stop these ruthless operations.
Operation IT HAS TO STOP.

World Health Day- April 7
April 7 was World Health Day people all around the world die due to vector borne diseases. Focusing mainly
on the increasing threat of viral and parasitic infections caused by
insects, this year’s World Health Day (April 7) highlights ‘Prevention
of vector borne diseases.
Vector borne diseases are diseases caused by pathogens that are transmitted to humans through insects and ticks carrying the pathogen. They are difficult to prevent because of several challenges facing the control of vectors and transmissibility of the pathogens. Here are top 10 vector borne diseases that contribute to increased morbidity and mortality:
- Lyme disease : Lyme disease is caused by the spirochete bacterium Borrelia burgdorferi. It is transmitted to humans by black-legged ticks that are infected with the bacteria. Upon entry, the bacterium attacks the central nervous system and causes neurological problems.
- Malaria : The disease is caused by the protozoan parasite Plasmodium.
- Dengue : Dengue is caused by a virus that is transmitted to humans by the vector Aedes Aegypti mosquito.
- Filariasis : Filariasis is caused by thread like filarial worms or nematodes. Wuchereria bancrofti is the most common filarial worm, causing the disease in 90 percent of the cases. The worm is carried by and transmitted to humans by mosquitoes –mainly Culex mosquito. The worm invades the lymphatic system causing profuse selling mainly in the legs.
- Chickungunya : It is caused by a virus classified under the family Togaviridae, genus Alphavirus. It is transmitted to humans by Aedes mosquito (mainly Aedes aegypti) in the daytime.
- Kala Azar : It is caused by protozoan parasite of the genus Leishmania.
- Plague : It is a deadly disease caused by the bacteria Yersina pestis.
- Chagas’ Disease is widely found in communities of Latin America. It is caused by the protozoan parasite Trypanosoma cruzi and transmitted by a large insect called ‘kissing bug’
- Yellow fever : yellow fever is a mosquito-borne viral disease. The disease is caused by the yellow fever virus and spread by female mosquito of Aedes aegypti species. The virus affects the cells of the immune system and causes symptoms like fever, chills, nausea and muscle pain.
Encephalitis: It is a viral disease that is spread through infected Culex mosquito. The virus mainly affects the central nervous system and causes headache, fever, meningitis, coma, tremors, paralysis and loss of coordination. Several cases of the disease have been found in India. The most affected states include Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kera.

Causes and Solutions of Emotional hunger
Common causes of Emotional Hunger
- Stress : Do you know that stress can make you hungry. Have you ever noticed ? When stress is high, it stimulates production of high level of stress hormone Cortisol. Cortisol triggers the crave for salty, sweet and high foods. The more uncontrolled stress in your life, the more you are likely to turn food for emotional relief. Pattern your stress life so it does not weigh you down.
- Stuffing emotions : Uncomfortable emotions including fear, anger, sadness, loneliness can trigger your emotional hunger. Avoid stuffing emotions.
- Social influences : It is easy to overindulge because food is available or even because everyone is eating. One may overeat in social situations out of nervousness. Watch it when you are in social gatherings that you do not overeat .
- Child hood habits : Habits from childhood into adulthood example excessive eating of chocolates, taking of ice creams after school even when not hungry and so on can also trigger emotional eating when one is grown and most times, it is difficult to stop.
Solutions to curb Emotional Eating

Emotional Hunger and Physical hunger
Emotional hunger can be termed as the consumption of large quantities of food in response to feelings instead of physical hunger. Experts have estimated that 75% of overeating is caused by emotions. Food does more than fill our stomach it also satisfies feeling. But when you satisfy those feelings with nice food when your stomach is not growling or complaining and you are not feeling any sign of real hunger *PHYSICAL HUNGER* that's Emotional Hunger. This is one of the lead cause of Obesity.
How can you tell the difference Between Real Hunger and Emotional Hunger
- Emotional hunger comes suddenly while physical hunger comes gradually.
- Emotional hunger feels it needs to be satisfied instantly with the food you want while physical hunger can wait. (Even me @drmandyy sometimes wait) But not everytime ooo.
- Even when you are full, if you are eating to satisfy an emotional need, one is likely to continue eating While when you eat when hungry one is likely to stop when full.
- Emotional eating can leave behind feelings of guilt; eating when you are physically hungry does not.
Are you always emotionally hungry ? Check out my next updates on causes of Emotional hunger and positive tips on how to break free from Emotional hunger.

OverEating
Norm of eating even when one is not hungry is a very common trend in the western world. There is what we term "Bad eating habit" that one has to eat at every interval. People like that can never be full because they eat little at a time over a long period of time. This is one of the leading factors of obesity or weight gain .The little foods that we consider normal do the more harm than good. These takes us to two important notions. ( Emotional Eating and Physical Eating). You need to know the difference between these. Find out in my next update.
