How he contacted HIV via Watermelon

This young boy on that particular day walked up to a roadside mallam selling fruit to buy Watermelon. Some minutes later, he ate the Watermelon not washing it. Few months after, he fell extremely ill. At the hospital he was tested and in the process was also tested for  HIV and the result was Positive. These boy in question is not promiscuous as he is  still young and now  the big question is How did he contact HIV ? After series of investigation, it was traced back to the road side mallam who sold Watermelon to him. According to eye witnesses around, on that day the said mallam in process of cutting the fruits mistakenly cut his hand and  drops of his blood dropped on the watermelon and the hausa man ignorantly packaged the watermelon fruit without washing which the boy bought and ate without washing. That caused the boys misfortune. Even the mallam did not know he was  infected with the Virus.
A  Warning to everyone, Wash your fruits and food  before Eating to prevent sickness.
Live Healthy Eat Healthy foods.

Foods that damage the skin

Dairy products- Studies linking the consumption of dairy to breakouts date back to the 1960s. In fact, doctors used to treat acne by recommending patients give up milk. But then, as medication to treat pimples became more effective and available, there was less of a focus on preventing breakouts through dietary changes.
When you develop cystic breakouts—those hard, painful, underground blemishes that linger for weeks on the chin, jaw line, and neck area—it might be a sign that you’re getting more dairy in your diet than your body can tolerate. Your skin acts as an excretory system to get rid of things that your body doesn’t agree with, so when you take in too much dairy, it comes out in the form of cystic blemishes in the lower area of the face.
Sea foods- Shrimp, crab, and lobster are high in iodine, which can lead to clogged pores and acne. A better option is fish, which contains omega fatty acids that help improve your skin.
Sugary products- Too salty or sugary foods spike your insulin production, which causes inflammation both inside your body and on your face and ultimately slows down your skin’s ability to regenerate itself. It’s also important to limit your alcohol intake, especially drinks with added sugars like margaritas. They dehydrate your body and make fine lines more pronounced.
“Redness and inflammation will continue and be constant factors if sugar isn’t removed from the diet.
Caffeine
Caffeinated drinks dehydrate you, which does a number on your skin’s elasticity and collagen—and that can make your skin more prone to sagging and wrinkles. If you can’t go without it, make sure to drink the recommended eight glasses of water daily to keep your body and skin hydrated.
Processed foodHighly processed junk food made with additives and preservatives—such as white bread, chips, French fries, soda, and candy—makes your blood-sugar levels spike. This causes your hormones to stimulate excessive oil production, clogging pores and aging the skin.

Note : Moderation is important. if you can not do without some of these foods.. Do not overeat them

Its so unfortunate that another Air disaster has occurred again killing all 116 people on board. Three air disasters have occurred within a week. What is really happening ? Should we be scared to fly now ? If it is intentional what are they (those behind it) trying to achieve by wasting innocent lives. This has gotten out of hand and everybody must work hand in hand to put a stop to these disasters.

Ask Questions about the Drugs You Ingest

drug : Heap of medicine pills Background made from colorful pills and capsules
Drugs are very important and  some people can do without them. Whether you are buying  a prescribed drug or over the counter drugs, it is always important to ask questions from the doctors or pharmacists which many people don't do.
Ask if you are confused
- The name of the drug or medication. Master the names no matter how long or complex
- Why you are taking the drugs. You should know the purpose of taking the medication because knowing why your doctor recommended the drug will ensure that the medication is taken appropriately.
-  What effect the drugs will have on you, when are you expected to see results.
-  How much, when and how the drugs should be taken. Follow directions well.
-  What are the side effects. Personally for me when I take chloroquine to treat malaria my body. itches me for 5 days. Ask for side effects of the drugs and which is important to contact your doctor.
- Ask your doctor what to do if you miss or skip a dose.
- Are there certain types of food we should abstain from or eat during use of the drugs. This is because some foods can interfere with the effectiveness of the drug.
- Are there other alternatives to that drug probably its cheaper and will it work the same function as the originally prescribed drug .

That simple Exercise can empower your Lungs

Its no news again that one of our favourite and talented gospel Nigerian Singer Kefee died of Lung infection after collapsing on an airplane in the U.S . That's how important the lungs is. Our lungs must function effectively for one to live healthy. Increasing the lung capacity is important because what we are doing is empowering the lungs to improve breathing and oxygen exchange thus, it gives way for body expansion. We can improve and advance  our lungs capacity by breathing and with physical exercises, healthy diets and a modified lifestyle.
Physical exercises like push ups, sit ups and the exercise you think its best for your body are necessary for improved lung capacity especially among the elderly ones. This will make the lungs work harder resulting in greater lung capacity. Also, actively involving oneself in sports like soccer, hockey, volleyball, basketball and the likes will do your lungs a big favour.

Pot Bellies and its Risk

Sometimes I laugh when I see men who are 3-6 months heavy with big protruding round stomach. Now I  began to wonder that did it come naturally or they themselves caused it. Well lets find out.
Pot Belly or Abdominal obesity  is when excessive abdominal fat around the stomach and abdomen has built up to the extent that it is likely to have a negative impact on health. In these part of the world, obesity is not really attended to as a serious health issue. The belief is people who take in alcoholic drink will have pot belly Yes it is a predisposing factor to have a pot belly stomach. But do you know that consumption of food (Junk food) without burning them out is also a leading cause .Potbellies comprise two types of fat that is, a soft potbelly is made largely of what is called subcutaneous fat, meaning fat that lies beneath the skin, just above the muscle tissue. That is why it is soft - your hand is pushing against a layer of fat.
A hard potbelly has more of what is referred to as visceral fat, which is fat between your muscles and organs. Hard bellies place you at greater risk of cardiovascular disease and intestinal disorders. The reason is that the fat is deep inside, pushing against your internal organs and disrupting the normal working of your digestive and circulatory systems.

A point to note:. Pot belly raises your cholesterol level and increases chances of coronary-artery disease.  why: your body burns fat continually . Most fat is absorbed from its storage place directly into your bloodstream, which transports it to wherever it is needed for energy. Unfortunately, your liver sees this high concentration of fat passing through and responds by producing excess LDL cholesterol (the "bad" cholesterol that blocks up your arteries).
There are several ways to stop fat collecting around your stomach region - cut dietary fat, which the body stores around the stomach region, exercise to burn fat and try  lift weights to increase your resting metabolism . Also, avoid big meals, smoking of cigarettes, strengthen your back by exercising it this act can shrink pot bellies.
Note : Edible compounds called phytoestrogens (found in plant foods such as soy products, bean sprouts, seeds and nuts) help distribute fat evenly on the body instead of letting it lump in one place.

THINGS YOU NEVER KNEW ABOUT BODY ODOUR

Body odour is a normal phenomenon that affects everybody. As long as there is life, there is tendency for one to have body odour  and smell if one does not take care of his/her body. People wake up as early as possible in the morning to begin their daily activities. Body odour is as important as eating because nobody will like to associate with something or somebody that stinks.
What you need to know
- There are two different Sweat gland : they are called the eccrine and aprocrine glands. Eccrine glands are all over the body and produce watery sweay to keep the body cool. Aprocrine glands are located where hair follicles are concentrated like the groin, armpit and scalp. THE SWEAT THERE IS WAXY AND FATTY from the lipids they secrete.
-Your Hair can enhance the Odour : The sweat from the apocrine glands does not create the smell. It is the stench-causing bacteria that creates the smell. The bacteria causing the stench  happens to be attracted to the sweat. The bacteria breaks down the fats then the bad aroma surfaces. The more hair you have, then the more surface area bacteria has to cling to which keeps the smell smelly.
-Food affect Body Smell : The common garlic, onions are body odour stimulators that can worsen body odour.( Avoid them if you have body odour).
Stress produces more Sweat : Am sure you have seen people with drenched armpits even before they begin the days activity.
Overwashing can make it worse :Using anti-bacterial soaps to wash smelly part of the body is good and essential. But dont over do it.
